About me and my work
I am Mathew Roque. I am a 17 year old boy living in Yelm, WA. I started doing small jobs like mowing and weed eating in March, 2024 to pay for my PS5. Then I kept posting for more work, and got many things I wanted. I’ve tackled small jobs from weeding a flower bed, to clearing out an entire field of tall, thick grass and blackberry bushes. I kept doing these jobs for the rest of the year, and I’m still doing them today. I used to be the indoor gamer boy and now I’m building this business with my bare hands. I love making properties look amazing, it makes me feel great, and I’m driven to perfection.
Although I’m 17, I don’t have a car or a license. I found it to be too expensive for drivers ed and even an old, hardly reliable vehicle. I’ll be 18 in half a year from July, 2025. Most of my earnings go into savings so I can continue to upgrade my equipment, get my first car, and move out before I’m 20. My goals
Within the next year, I hope to grow my business enough to live on it. I have my eye on more equipment such as a backpack blower, hedger, clippers, riding mower, and gas powered pressure washer. At the same time, I want to get enough in my savings to get my first car once I’m 18, a trailer, expand my business, and move out of my parent’s house. I also want to be able to treat myself every once in a while, too.
